What object storage actually costs
AnonDrop Pro and Business next to six of the best known providers, using the list prices each of them publishes. Nothing here is a quote from a sales call and nothing is discounted in our favour.
Their prices are as published on 2026-08-19 for a primary US region, and can change at any time. Always confirm on the provider's own pricing page before deciding.
Storage and egress, per GB
Storage is the price of keeping one GB for a month. Egress is the price of sending one GB out. Our own two rows are a flat plan price spread across the allowance that plan includes, because AnonDrop bills a flat plan rather than metering every GB.

2 TB stored, 2 TB sent out each month
Every figure below is calculated in your browser from the same per-GB numbers in the table above, so the two can never disagree. Change the workload if you want to see your own numbers.

These totals apply each provider's headline per-GB rates only. Minimum retention periods, minimum billed capacity, free egress allowances, request and operation charges, retrieval fees and committed-use discounts are listed in the notes above but are not calculated here. On an AnonDrop plan the workload is billed at the flat plan price as long as it fits inside the plan's storage and transfer allowance.
How to read this page
- Every figure in the other providers' rows is their own published list price for their standard or hot tier, quoted in USD. We do not control those prices and they change; check the provider's own pricing page before you make a decision on the strength of this table.
- Cloud pricing varies by region, storage class and commitment. We use each provider's headline standard-tier rate, which is the number most people are quoted first.
- AnonDrop is priced as a flat plan, not per GB. The per-GB figures in our rows are the plan price divided across the allowance the plan includes, so that they can sit in the same column as everyone else.
- AnonDrop plans are paid in SOL, converted from the USD price at the live rate at the moment of checkout, and the amount is locked for the life of that payment.
- Storage on AnonDrop works the same way on every plan: encrypted server side, split into encrypted chunks written to storage addresses, and protected by erasure coding in an EC 14+4 layout across 18 storage nodes, so up to four nodes can be lost without losing a file.
